We collaborate closely with area ambassadors, engaging in initiatives that actively promote the sport's expansion and strengthen community bonds. Our Methodology

Since our establishment in 2017, 1to4 Pickleball has pursued excellence with an unwavering dedication to sharing our hard-earned lessons with both recreational and competitive players alike. Our journey is a dynamic tapestry woven with experiences from esteemed tournaments, including the US Open and US Nationals.

Since our establishment in 2017, 1to4 Pickleball has pursued excellence with an unwavering dedication to sharing our hard-earned lessons with both recreational and competitive players alike. Our journey is a dynamic tapestry woven with experiences from esteemed tournaments, including the US Open and US Nationals.

 

Passion fuels our involvement in the growth and development of pickleball opportunities in the Augusta area. We've played pivotal roles at Wilson Family YMCA, Patriots Park, Riverview Park, Montclair Pickleball Courts, as well as at Warren Church, Trinity and First Baptist Church.

Our instructional methods and techniques are built on lessons learned from diverse sources—classes, clinics, workshops, and interactions with the best in the game and from renowned sources like the IPTPA, PPR and USAPB University. We have received training from top-tier players, coaches, and instructors such as Simone Jardin, Sarah Ansboury, Kyle Yates, Helle Sparre and Morgan Evans.

At 1to4 Pickleball, we go beyond conventional training and coaching. Our approach is grounded in scientific principles, incorporating Kinesiology, Motor Behavior, Skill Development, and Sport Psychology and Sport Nutrition into our instruction.

We pride ourselves on being skilled communicators and educators, proficient in leadership, public speaking and pedagogy. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the court, as we continually invest in improving our content and delivery methods through ongoing education.

Drawing from our experience in executing operations under pressure and with various constraints, we bring a unique skill set to the table. This adeptness allows us to apply a thorough process to craft comprehensive training and event plans, ensuring a strategic approach to help you successfully achieve your objectives.​

Meet Caitlin

Caitlin is a PPR certified pickleball instructor and a ProKennex Pickleball Advocate. Her competitive sports background is sprinting in track and field. At least it was until she fell in love with Pickleball in 2016! Caitlin not only enjoys playing Pickleball recreationally and competitively in tournaments. Caitlin is an Air Force veteran and held a physical training leader certification during her 13 year career, leading workout sessions for hundreds of Airmen. Additionally, she spent several years of her military career training others and managing training programs.

Meet Perry

Perry is a highly experienced and certified pickleball teaching professional and referee. Perry's dedication to improving the skills and performance of recreational and competitive pickleball players is well-known in the community. He discovered the sport in 2016 and is a life long student and teacher of the game.

Perry's expertise reaches beyond the realm of pickleball, as he possesses a robust foundation in technical instruction across diverse subjects. With experience in coaching adults on a wide spectrum of topics, including software and web development, military intelligence, and athletic training, Perry brings a broad range of skills to his coaching role.

 

As a student in the fields of Kinesiology and Communications and holding certifications as a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and Running Technique Specialist, he expertly relays his knowledge of kinesiology, motor behavior, and sports psychology to enhance his coaching approach and the performance of his athletes.

 

Perry is dedicated to continuous improvement and regularly studies instructional methods to stay up to date with the latest techniques and approaches. His coaching philosophy emphasizes game strategy, sound stroke mechanics, progressive mechanics, efficient footwork, and movement.
